Amazon announces upcoming discount event, Prime Big Deal Days in October: What to know

Amazon shoppers who aren't satisfied with their Amazon Prime Day purchases will have another chance this fall.
Prime members will have exclusive access to discounts in October, the shopping giant announced Thursday. The Prime Big Deal Days will include discounts for customers in the U.S. and 18 other countries.
"Only Prime members will have access to early holiday deals across popular categories, including deep discounts on products from top brands," the company said in a news release.
The company's annual Prime Day event took place on July 16 and 17, offering deals for 35 categories of products from electronics, apparel and beauty. Members had access to discount deals for products like Amazon Devices, quality entertainment, groceries and travel items.
An Amazon representative told USA TODAY Thursday that no additional details can be shared at this time.
When do Amazon Prime Big Deal Days begin?
Amazon has not offered dates for the fall's Prime Big Deal Days but confirmed it will occur sometime in October.

Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days will include discounts for Prime members in the following 19 countries:

Can you shop Amazon Prime Big Deal Days without a membership?
Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days will be exclusive for Prime members. However, eligible shoppers can sign up for a free 30-day trial ahead of October to receive access to the deals.

How much is an Amazon Prime membership?
Amazon Prime costs $14.99 per month, or $139 per year. Subscribing to only Prime Video costs $8.99 per month.
Students and shoppers between the ages of 18 and 24 can sign up for $7.49 per month, or $69 per year.
